Meet Our Team:

Ron Montesi

Ron was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He and Rosemary Montesi have been married for 52 years, and have 3 children and 9 grandchildren.

Ron graduated from the University of Connecticut and has his bachelors degree in Economic and Business Administration, masters degree courses at New Haven University, and is a graduate of Dale Carnegie Course.

From 1961 to 1972 he worked for W. T. Grant Management Training Program as the Store Manager and New England Regional Merchandise Manager. In 1972 he started North Country Janitorial, which has since grown into a multi-faceted service company employing over 120 people servicing Glens Falls and the Capital District Areas. He was President of the company until 2004.

In 2004 Ron became the Executive Vice President of North Country Janitorial.

From 2004 to 2007 Ron was the Special Assistant for Adirondack Affairs. He was the Liaison between the Department of Environmental Conservation and elected officials, providing assistance on grant funding; compliance with consent orders; helping with regulatory problems; facilitating meetings with Central Office, APA, and other state agencies. He also represented the Commissioner on the Lake George Park Commission and provided support to the Regional Director on special projects in the Adirondacks.

Ron’s resume also includes: Secretary and Member of Board of Directors – Precision Extrusion; Medical Tubing Manufacturer for Catheters (1995 to 2007; 2010 to present); Board of Directors of Adirondack Balloon Festival (1998 – 2008); Board of Directors – Duham’s Bay Fish and Game (2007 to present); Board of Directors – Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA) (2006 – 2013); Board of Directors and Vice-Chair of Warren County Soil & Water (2007 to present); Board of Directors of New York Conservation Districts (2009 to present); and Hometown Thanksgiving Dinner Volunteer (2008 to present).

He was involved in community service for 11 years on the Board of Directors of the Glens Falls YMCA; participated as a Charter Member of the Queensbury Lion’s Club; was a past member of the Rotary Club; was involved with the Elks Club BPOE 81; was a past member of the Parish Council of Our Lady of the Annunciation church; and was a Eucharistic Minister of Communion to the elderly at Westmount.

Ron’s involvement in politics included the Queensbury Planning board from 1981 to 1987 and the Queensbury Town Board from 1988 to 1993. He was the County Supervisor at Large from the Town of Queensbury from 1995 to 2002. He served as Chairman of County Facilities and Insurance Committees, and the Chairman of Warren County Soil and Water District. He also was a Member of Sheriff, Finance, Personnel, Health, Parks and Recreation (Railroad Sub-Committee), Airport, Community College and RC&D for Adirondacks. He was also involved with the Queensbury Town Board Ward 2 from 2008 to present, and was appointed Supervisor of Queensbury in 2013.

In his spare time Ron enjoys gardening, golf, and classic cars.
